Student Research Symposium (SRS)

Het Student Research Symposium (SRS), vroeger Studenten Onderzoeks Symposium (SOS), is een posterbeurs georganiseerd door de facultaire Studentenraden Faculteit Geneeskunde & Gezondheidswetenschappen (StuGG) en Faculteit Farmacie (StuFF). Sinds 2018 werkt ook de Faculteit van Diergeneeskunde hieraan mee.

Het SRS richt zich op twee verschillende doelgroepen. Enerzijds willen wij thesis-, doctoraats- en honours programme studenten de kans geven om hun onderzoek, casus of project aan de hand van een poster voor te stellen. Anderzijds willen we studenten uit de bachelor- en masterjaren warm maken voor wetenschappelijk onderzoek, respectievelijk voor het kiezen van een thesisonderwerp of de keuze voor een doctoraat. Een jury beoordeelt de posters en kiest per categorie een winnaar uit. Naast de posterbeurs organiseren we ook enkele voordrachten van toponderzoekers en andere bekende gezichten.

Op 20 april 2017 ging het SRS voor de eerste maal door samen met de facultaire Research Days.
